Love books but trying to cut back on the spending, well why not join your local library. You can join online and reserve the books or DVD you want and when they have it for you and ready to pick up they can let you know. When you register online they give you a temporary borrower number. You need to bring along proof of your address (utility bill or bank statement) and ID (passport, bank card etc) so you become a full member. Really easy and guess what, free. You can also access electronic books which is a real step forward for anyone who has difficulty either reading or getting to their library.

Again a form of entertainment that keeps your mind busy and your social life good but not too expensive. Setting up or joining a book club is fun and with this website it gives you all the info you need to have to do it properly.

This very clever US website is a really easy why of helping you manage your finances. It is set up to allow you to upload your transaction information, set goals for yourself and also gives you tips on how to save and use your money effectively. Thereis no fee. Download Wesabe to your Mac or Windows machine for free, and you'll be able to see all your bank accounts and credit cards in one place, categorise your transactions with tags, set spending targets and goals, and receive saving and spending tips based on your purchases. Peruse the Groups section to chat with others about debt, savings, and money management. There is a very good demo you might use to give you an idea of what you will get if you sign up.

A website and blog that gives you independent advice and tips on getting the best value for your money and also saving and financial tips. Irish owned and set up in 2003 to provide independent advice to consumers in Ireland.
