TV3 IrelandAM

Websites reviewed by Maeve Kneafsey on IrelandAM on 15th July included:

http://www.getridofthings.com

I found this website when searching for information on snoring and how to get rid of it (impossible it seems). This website is basically designed to give us advice on a wide and varied array of problems. Such as how to get rid of things such as pests, stains, personal hygiene problems, housekeeping and even mild mental health problems, such as stress! However, what I like about it is the information is sensible, researched and does not focus on offering quick fixes or promoting products. All of this served up with a healthy dose of scathing sarcasm and self-deprecating humor by a couple of college students.

http://www.aldiphotos.ie

Online photo processing service that is incredibly cheap. For example, for a standard pack of 25 photos the cost of processing including delivery is just €4.24. You can also order specials like poster size versions of your photos for between €5.49 to €13.48 including delivery as well as calendars, albums and cards using your photos.

http://www.blifaloo.com

Ever wondered if someone might be telling you a lie? We all have been in situations where we suspect someone may be lying to us - well this website promises to teach us to detect a lie when it is being told to us!  This website, www.blifaloo.ie includes loads of other quizzes and tests which are basically a relief from a touch of boredom. The website was set up as a sort of escape hatch for a Canadian website designer to take a break from her work and it has grown and grown. Check out the the guide to flirting techniques, I am sure you will recognise someone.

http://www.whfoods.com

Non-profit making website which has huge amounts of really easy to follow independent advice on eating and choosing the right food for your needs. In particular, it includes info. about different types of food and their nutritional benefits, easy to follow recipes and a short questionnaire which is designed to analyze your nutritional status and give you information on the nutrients which may be lacking in your diet as well as recommendations for which foods and recipes will address the gap in your nutrition.

http://www.weddingvenuesireland.ie

Website that specialises in helping you find a venue for your wedding. Useful place to start if you are planning your big day.
