Websites reviewed by Maeve Kneafsey on IrelandAM on 25th November included:

This website is a useful online directory of all the different people or services you might need to get in touch with if you are organising your wedding. From cakes and candles to jewellery and speech writing. A good source of contact information but it will not provide you with any reviews or comments from anyone who used the service, but use it more as a source of local suppliers and their contact details.

Anyone who enjoys dipping into the Guinness Book of World records, are going to really enjoy the online version. It is really well thought out and easy to find what you are looking for or just have a browse. If anyone out there happens to be glued to I'm a celebrity get me out of here, like myself and my gang, then you can add to your useless font of knowledge and gross yourself out by finding out who has the world record for eating the largest number of cockroaches - Ken Edwards, in London in 2001 ate 36. What a clever chap. Couldn't imagine a more useful way to spend my time! On a more sensible note, if you need to help someone write up a report, speech or project for school, it really is incredibly useful and will save you loads of time

This website is so simple and so clever, I wish I had thought of it. It is an online recipe and food website with a big difference. It uses video to not only show you how to make a particular dish, but how to prepare and use food properly. A friend of mine told me that she is using it to help teach her son how to cook and even how to chop an onion properly. It is also an Irish success story as it was set up by one of our own entrepreneurs, Niall Harbison. So if you want to know how to take the skin off a tomato or peel ginger properly, or simply how to cook lamb shank, this is the most enjoyable way to learn.

Hugely successful online fashion store, which I told you about in an earlier show, is going from strength to strength. ASOS targets 16 to 34 year olds with cut-price versions of celebrity outfits. Despite the doom and gloom, ASOS and I suspect more and more online stores are benefiting as we all look for bargains. Asos is enjoying strong growth in both sales and profits, so get online and check out the bargains.

I think this is a lovely guide to anyone trying to research their ancestry online. It gives you the 10 steps to follow and then offers you further links to more options to help you find what you are looking for. Including links to online cemetery records, obituaries and death notices as well as how to find clues in the census.
