- Link to other peoples
pages, not directly to the images or other media stored on those pages
- Ensure you put the
copyright symbol, the copyright owner and the date on all your content
- Ensure you have the right
permissions for content on your website that other people may have created
- Think before you publish
content on the Internet – do you have good reason to speak out? If in
doubt, don’t publish the content
- Make sure you own the
rights to your domain name
- Make sure you have access
to your own hosting solution (usually FTP username and password), and only
your developer has this access as well
- Ensure you have all the
relevant disclaimers on your website
- Ensure you have a privacy
policy on your website
- Choose the right online
booking/payments system for your needs, shop around, and make sure it’s
secure!
- Make sure you have an
Internet Usage Policy in place for your company, if it’s needed
