Run a successful Google AdWords campaign

Pay-per-click advertising is a quick and easy way to generate high-qulity traffic for your website with a small budget. Follow our 6 tips to make sure your pay-per-click advertising campaign is as good as it can be.

Identify your advertising goals – do you want large numbers of people to see your ads? Do you only want a small number of very targeted people to see your ads

Organise your account – organise your campaigns by topic, and create very specific ad groups. Avoid generic ad groups, and target the locations that make sense for you

Choose relevant keywords – research, and choose your keywords carefully.

Create good ads –
including keywords in your ad text, and a strong call-to-action. Use simple, enticing ads, and test continuously.

Optimise your website –
make sure your ad clicks through to the relevant page on your website (which may not always be the home page!). Test a number of versions of your website content, and always, always put yourself in the user’s shoes – how do you make their journey easier?

Track performance, and test –
check your AdWords statistics often, and make changes to see what happens – what if you add more keywords? What if you change your ad text? What if you change your website?
